  1. Anyone got an idea of how you can cancel a gethostbyname that
  2. actually works on all (at least most) winsock.dll's??

  4. WSACancelBlockingCall doesn't do it.  WSACleanup doesn't
  5. do it.   (at least on Trumpet all versions and new MS vxd beta)

  7. Problem here is when a user closes an application where 
  8. gethostbyname hasn't yet returned.
